The Best Rhinoplasty Surgeons in Los Angeles

The Best Rhinoplasty Surgeons in L.A.

This is an updated list of only the best rhinoplasty surgeons in the L.A. area. If you have any suggestions that are not mentioned here, post them in the “Top Surgeons” Highlight on my Instagram and they will be considered.

There are some famous surgeons who are very overrated or treat their non famous clients like garbage. I would point them out, but surgeons love to use lawsuits to silence their critics (which has already happened to me in the past). SO instead, you will have to read between the lines, if there’s a very famous surgeon that you don’t see here there’s a good chance it’s due to one of those reasons.

What Separates a Great Rhinoplasty Surgeon from a Good One

Rhinoplasty is one of the most complicated surgeries. The smallest changes in the angle of projection, size/shape of the tip, the nasal bridge, or positioning of the columella can be the difference between a great result or a botched surgery.

Revision Rhinoplasty is one of the most common surgeries and unfortunately, once the initial rhinoplasty is botched, it is extremely difficult to fix with revision surgeries. This is why those who get a revision rhinoplasty often get a revision of their revision and why it’s important to get your rhinoplasty right the FIRST time.

The most common yet subtle aesthetic risk with rhinoplasty is lifting the tip and columella excessively making the philtrum look long. A long philtrum hinders facial harmony far more than a slightly oversized nose, so please be very careful.

Even some of the richest celebrities like Kendal Jenner have ended up with this problem which you can see picture evidence of at the very bottom of this post.

The next most common risks are pinching the tip or nasal bridge, exposing excessive nostril show from the front view, and lastly making the nose crooked/asymmetrical .

What separates the Best Rhinoplasty Surgeons from the ones who are just good is their level of understanding of minor nuances of nasal shape, their ability to make the slightest adjustments to signifcantly increase facial harmony, and the consistency by which they are able to produce their results. There are many surgeons who have a few great results, but repeating those results time and time again on hundreds of different patients is what separates the best surgeons the rest.

Last thing:  Remember, rhinoplasty isn’t always the answer! You have other facial features, such as your chin, jawline, and cheeks which can be manipulated alongside or instead of rhinoplasty to give you a much better improvement. With that said, here are the Top Rhinoplasty Surgeons in the L.A. area.

Dr. Ashkan Ghavami - Beverly Hills

Dr. Ghavami is one of the top rhinoplasty surgeons in the L.A., especially when it comes to making a significant improvement from the front view. He’s great at producing natural results with alar base reduction and reshaping the tip.

His personal style is a middle ground between creating a curved feminine nasal shape profile and not lifting the nasal tip to avoid an increase in perceived philtrum length. Unlike many other skilled surgeons, his work on the nasal tip does not tend to expose excessive nostril show from the front view.

Dr. Vladimir Grigoryants - Glendale

Dr. Grigoryants is no doubt one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in the world. He is able to work with the most difficult cases and has a very deep understanding on the influence of nasal shape on facial harmony and balance.

He has developed his own style where instead of lifting the tip he leaves projection in the upper section of the tip which creates the appearance of a lifted tip and gives the nose a feminine slope and shape without actually lifting the tip (which is what creates the so common long philtrum look post rhino).

His transformations produce a drastic difference from the font and most importantly, he is able to consistently produce these phenomenal results. When it comes to improve the nose from the profile view, he might just be the best in the world.

Much like the prior mention surgeons, Dr. Zoumalan is also very skilled at creating a balanced and feminine profile without over-pinching and upturning the nasal tip or exposing excessive nostril show from the front view. He is able to achieve stunning-transformations while preserving a very natural look.

Dr. Donald B. Yoo - Beverly Hills

Dr. Yoo is one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons, especially when it comes to revision rhinoplasty using a cartilage graft. He is especially skilled at operating on noses that are flat from profile such as those typical in Asain populations. His other talents inlcude revision rhinoplasty using a cartilage graft and alar base reduction which is a method of reducing the width of the nose.

He does his best work on those with flaring nostrils and short philtrums but he tends to upturn the nasal tip a little excessively which could be aesthetically harmful for those with philtrums on the longer end of normal.

Dr. Payman Simoni - Beverly Hills

Dr. Simoni is another top Beverly Hills rhinoplasty surgeon. He does a great job of achieving a feminine and natural nasal shape while avoiding a pinched or upturned look. His results look very natural from the profile, but he doesn’t tend show the results from the front view which leaves a bit of uncertainty about his works. Still, his profile work is so good that I had to include him on this list!

Dr. Rady Rahban - Beverly Hills

Dr. Rabhan is skilled at working on the nasal tip and can make minor adjustments to provide great improvements. However, he also has a tendency to lift the columella and expose excessive nostril show from the front which can give some of his results a more “done” look. While he’s very skilled, in my opinion he’s not on the level of some of the earlier mentioned surgeons. Still one of the best in L.A. for sure!

Dr. Karan Dhir - Beverly Hills

Dr. Dhir is also one of the top rhinoplasty surgeons in L.A. however, he goes for more a straight nasal bridge with a sharper nasal tip instead of a curved nasal bridge with the rounder more upturned nasal tip. He is not afraid to take on some of the most challenging rhinoplasty cases and produces natural-looking rhinoplasty transformations, but some of his results leave a little to be desired.

There are many other good surgeons who produce good results, but this list is exclusively for the BEST rhinoplasty surgeons in the L.A. area. If you are surprised that someone you were considering isn’t mentioned, its likely because their results aren’t up to par, are inconsistent, or they are extremely narcissistic and treat those who are not celebrities with a total lack of respect.

BUT, if you have any suggestions who you think belong on this list, submit them for consideration using the submission box in my “Top Surgeons” highlight on Instagram.

KENDAL JENNER’S Multiple NOSE-JOBS ⠀ ⠀ Can you see difference in her nose after her first nose job to where she is now? ⠀ She’s an interesting case because at first she did not have a lot of filler, but then about a year or two after her first rhino that she started getting lots of work done. My theory is it all stemmed from her slightly botched nose job. ⠀ My theory is that after her first rhinoplasty which was probably an open rhino, she went in for at least 1 but very possibly 2 revision closed rhinoplasties to give her nose a more thin and balanced appearance. ⠀ The first rhino didn’t leave her in a great position as it exposed her phitlrum length as a consequence of removing too much tip volume. Then she elected for closed rhinoplasty in an attempt to make her nose match her face better. ⠀ After her philtrum length became longer, she had to resort to lip fillers and overlining her lips to try and offset the new blandness of her face caused by the disharmony due to her longer philtrum. ⠀ If you noticed, there was a stage in the middle of her transformation where her face seemed strangely flat (I included some pics from this stage). She never had this problem before when she was 100% natural. It looked as though she had much less midface of cheekbone projection. ⠀ This is what only about a 3mm perceived increase of philtrum length did to her face. After that she had to get lots of cheek and lip filler to offset this. ⠀ Still, she made an AMAZING transformation, but her first rhino left her in a compromised position and prevented her from reaching her full potential. She could’ve had an even better result and needed a lot less cheek filler to offset the facial disharmony which would have allowed for a significantly more natural look. ⠀ (The first phot is from @celebrity.plastic credit to her. The rest are from me and are in the order of progression of her face as she got more work done) ⠀ But what do you think? Did she have more that one rhinoplasty or no? ⠀ Like, comment, and share XO ⠀ . . . ⠀ #cheekfiller #liplift #plasticsurgery #chinfiller #jawlinecontour #jawlinefiller #browlift #rhinoplasty #undereyefiller #kendalljenner #rhinoplastybeforeandafter
